Triangular Series: a commanding lead
The annual Triangular Series between Blyth, Backworth and Newbiggin has been taking place over the last couple of weeks and draws to a conclusion at Blyth this weekend. Blyth currently hold a commanding lead, so hopefully we can finish the job on home soil and secure the victory.

Golf course questionnaire
A few days left to have your say
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete our recent Golf Course Questionnaire. We really appreciate the number of responses we have received so far and, more importantly, the honest and constructive feedback that members have provided.
There are still a couple of days remaining before the questionnaire closes, so if you haven't yet completed it, we would really encourage you to take a few minutes to share your thoughts. The more responses we receive, the better understanding we will have of members' views and priorities for the golf course.
We have already started processing and reviewing the responses received. Once the questionnaire has closed and all of the feedback has been analysed, we will share a summary report with members, along with an action plan outlining the key areas identified and how we intend to respond to them.
Thank you again to everyone who has contributed. Your feedback is extremely valuable as we continue working to improve the golf course and the overall experience at Blyth Golf Club.
Course etiquette
We can all play our part
As we move towards the end of the season and into the autumn months, I would once again ask everyone to help us look after the golf course. The greenkeeping team work extremely hard to present the course in the best condition possible, but every golfer can play their part in maintaining those standards.
- Repair pitch marks on the greens
- Replace divots
- Rake bunkers properly after use
- Take care around tees and greens
If you see another pitch mark or divot that hasn't been repaired, taking a few seconds to deal with it can make a real difference.
Please also remain mindful of other golfers on the course. Good etiquette, maintaining a sensible pace of play and showing courtesy towards other groups all contribute to making golf at Blyth an enjoyable experience for everyone.
As conditions become softer over the coming weeks, looking after the course becomes even more important. A little effort from everyone really does go a long way.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of the club and for playing your part in helping us move Blyth forward.
Good luck to everyone competing over the next couple of weeks, and hopefully we can enjoy a great finish to the 2026 golfing season.
